Lynden Air Cargo is looking for an experienced Supply and Logistics Specialist who is knowledgeable in shipping, receiving, and inventory control for our Maintenance department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains aircraft spares inventory by regulations and Company procedures.
- Receives and processes incoming parts for Stores and/or shipment as directed by the Supply and Logistics Supervisor.
- Follows departmental procedures and uses independent judgment in organizing and controlling routine storage, purchase of supplies/equipment and other projects as assigned.
- Ensures that the Supply and Logistics Supervisor is apprised of rotable and expendable part levels to maintain an adequate supply.
- Prepares outgoing shipments, through the direction of the Supply and Logistics Supervisor, including International or Domestic invoicing, relevant to specific shipping method and destination.
- Performs data entry in TRAX, at the time of shipment, to capture parts movement/transfer within the LAC system.
- Ensures compliance with Company, FAA, ITAR, Customs, and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) regulations.
- Ensures that parts are labeled properly
- Files purchase orders (P.O.), repair orders (R.O.), and all order-related documents.
- Picks up supplies and parts for the Maintenance Department using company vehicle, as assigned or as necessary.
- Monitors Fly Away Kit (FAK) inventory; maintain FAK inventory spreadsheets.
- Conducts monthly cycle counts of inventory.
- Completes teardown reports for unserviceable parts and segregates from serviceable parts.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or, one year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment in dealing with problems that occur in a highly controlled and regulated environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current US Driver License
Current US Passport
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Knowledge of FAR's related to aircraft parts, knowledge of HAZMAT and customs requirements. Ability to maintain inventory control using TRAX computer software. Knowledge of Windows, MS Word and MS Excel software.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Must be available to workdays, evenings, weekends, nights or holidays and to be away from home for extended periods of time on occasion. Must be available to travel to domestic and international locations without restrictions, including entrance onto foreign military bases.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and use hands to handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; explosives and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
