Duties
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and supplies
- Use database management system to update and maintain data of supply inventory
- Process requisitions and/or purchase orders
- Prepare reports to maintain the required amount of postage in the account
- Distribute charge back information to the appropriate department
- Safeguard against theft or misappropriation
- Performs duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- One (1) year experience as Stock Clerk I or other experience in inventory, or stockroom related positions
- Ability to type at average rate of speed of 20 words per minutes; to apply arithmetic principles through percentage and fractions; to operate calculator and adding machine with average
- Demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :Most tasks involve the ability to exert medium/heavy physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of medium weight (10 – 50 pounds). Some tasks may involve extended period of time at workstations. Some tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Some tasks may require perception and discrimination of color, sound, odor, and visual ability. Job must be performed with or without accommodations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Some tasks may require exposure to temperature extremes, strong odors, toxic/poisonous agents, smoke, dusts, pollen, and vibrations
