Title:Supply Chain Analyst, Controlled Substances

Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst, Controlled Substances will support the Controlled Substance program and will work cross-functionally to help prepare for DEA audits. The Controlled Substance Analyst must have strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Additionally, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is required.
This role will also support Nexus Supply Chain functions through ensuring volume; customer service, inventory, and operating expense goals are achieved through creation, communication and implementation of master production plans. POs, freight and balances are correct and physical inventory accurate.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee controlled substance systems to proactively ensure accuracy of controlled substance raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
  • Reconcile Controlled Substance ARCOS inventory cycle counts and resolve discrepancies thru research, analysis, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Track and reconcile controlled substance issues in preparation for monthly ARCOS counts.
  • Conduct and monitor monthly and quarterly ARCOS inventory counts.
  • Complete ARCOS inventory entries for Controlled Substances and transmit to the DEA.
  • Organize, file and store ARCOS documents and ensure proper retainment
  • Oversee and direct the daily movement of Controlled Substance inventory via paper forms and electronic batch record review.
  • Review prior period production for errors, create inventory records, and cycle count product as needed.
  • Review monthly Controlled Substance buyback reports.
  • Ensure SOPs pertaining to Controlled Substances are accurate and complete to maintain day to day operations properly. Periodically review SOP and make changes as required.
  • Assist and/or conduct internal audits.
  • Assist with procurement, domestic/international logistics, and state licensing as required.

Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
  • Analytical, organizational, team and project skills
  • Knowledge of inventory analysis including transaction types and inventory movements within an ERP system desired
  • Strong computer and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced, changing team environment; ability to prioritize and work within tight time frames
  • Ability to facilitate inventory related discussions
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in operating in an ERP and MRP system, preferably SAP or QAD
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in pharmaceuticals
  • Exposure to inventory control process improvement

Travel Requirements:
  • 5-15% travel between Nexus locations is required for this role

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.
