We are currently looking for a positive and energetic long term intern, potentially leading to full time. As the Business Analyst – Supply Chain, you will support all aspects of a distribution fulfillment business: Operations Management and Process Improvement, Financials, Lean Six Sigma, 5S, etc. You will utilize the Manhattan Associates warehouse management system (WMS), Easy Metric Labor Management System, Database & Project Management software and other tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize Manhattan Associates - Warehouse Management System (WMS), become a system Super User
- Make use of spreadsheets, data bases & other analysis tools as needed
- Create business use cases, project return on investment cradle-to-grave
- Optimize distribution facility work flow, utilizing flow charts, Lean Six Sigma and 5S methodologies
- Learn all aspects of site distribution flow: Unload/Receive/Put-away/Pick/Ship/Inventory/Slot, etc.
- Liaison between support departments: engineering, accounting, customer service, sales, transportation, etc.
- Other assignments/projects as needed to ensure our customer needs are met
REQUIRED Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Aptitude to be part of a cohesive team, provide value to stakeholders
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities
Education and Experience:
- Pursuing BS degree: Supply Chain, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, trace issues to root cause, and document findings
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company
