Responsibilities The Office of Housing provides vital public services through its nationally administered programs. It oversees the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the largest mortgage insurer in the world, and regulates important parts of the housing industry.

The Office of Housing is committed to building and preserving healthy neighborhoods and communities through homeownership, rental housing and healthcare opportunities. The Office of Risk Management and Regulatory Affairs was established by Congress on July 28, 2010 under the Federal Housing Administration. The purpose of the office is to cultivate, optimize and execute risk management strategies by identifying risks, ensuring regulated compliance is met, and promoting a risk-conscious climate in a manner consistent with the mission and vision of Federal Housing Administration.

As a Supervisory Program Analyst, you will: - Provide comprehensive, up-to-date reports on business activity in all FHA insurance programs; oversee program evaluation studies, and ad hoc requests for program data and reports, including FOIA requests. - Oversee internal and contract analyses of FHA programs. Provide analysis and reports for executive review, including and regular and ad hoc reports requested by the Office Director, senior management, and oversight agencies.

Oversee Office responsibilities for archiving reports and databases according to Federal records standards. - Maintain relationships with FHA Program Offices and the ORMRA Chief Data Scientist with respect to data collection, database development and maintenance, management-level reports generated by data collection systems, and data warehouses. - Take an active role in overseeing the quality of data in data warehouses that support the FHA insurance programs.

Interact routinely with other Housing HQ and field office managers and staff. Represents FHA in meetings with senior officials in Housing, HUD, other Federal Agencies, and outside groups. - Advises the Office Director and Senior Management, on matters pertaining to the impact on the FHA insurance Funds of new or revised HUD FHA programs and policies, new or proposed legislation, and on new or proposed OMB rules and regulations.

Requirements Conditions of Employment The official duty station for this position will be in Washington, District of Columbia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal. Key Requirements: Must be U.S.

Citizen or U.S. National. A one year probationary period may be required.

A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.

Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency. Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: - Designing and implementing economic, insurance, or financial research and reporting plans; AND - Tracking portfolio performance, identifying risk factors, and providing authoritative advisory services regarding risk-ranking of loans in mortgage pools/portfolios ;AND - Supervising and managing a research and analytical staff/team. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.

One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
