About the Position

We are seeking a professional, reliable and detail-oriented Project Analyst to plan, organize, execute and manage the project effectively by providing critical data supporting the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The successful candidate will bring knowledge and skills to streamline and effectively manage all project timelines and ensure that work progression is within planned timeframe. This will be a remote position within the U.S.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Provide project leadership support and operational effectiveness
  • Conduct division-wide program coordination and communication in support of division change management processes
  • Provide project coordination and collaboration with operational timeline support involving input from other CDC Centers Institute and Offices (CIOs)
  • Coordinate project tracking and status reporting for all branches and outside partners as needed (including guidance document updates and timeline development)
  • Establish and manage a standardized project plan for PHEP Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) process, including implementation and guidance documents.
  • Establish and manage standardized project plans for other programmatic areas, including technical assistance and various STLT engagement efforts (including communities of practice and training support)
  • Develop and maintain plans for other division-wide activities, as needed.

Strategic Planning and Organizational Design

  • Facilitate development of division and branch level strategic plans and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Determine impact of strategic plans on current and future DSLR organizational design.
  • Facilitate planning sessions and draft planning documentation, including reporting benchmarks/metrics
  • Support execution of this strategy through monitoring and reporting
  • Develop strategic/project plan based on the PHEP Lifecycle

Data Management Strategy and Visualization

  • Assess current data management processes and systems and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Assist with development of various reports and products

Technical Assistance

  • Support development and implementation of overarching technical assistance strategy to include coordination across DSLR work units
  • Support various training initiatives (STLT and internally facing), as needed
  • Support development and implementation of a Community of Practice strategy and platform
  • Identification of next steps to improve gaps and areas of opportunity discovered in assessment through strategy development and planning sessions.

Continued Program Support and Development

  • Support program requests as needed.
  • Support the PHEP CoAg process for the next Project Period (2024-2029)
  • Support Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) development, communication, and execution methods
  • Assist with the management of issues that may arise over the course of project activities
  • Provide additional Project planning and documentation support as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a Federal setting (preferred)
  • Experience in a public health setting (preferred)
  • Experience gathering, retaining, and managing sensitive data, including personal information
  • Understanding of data and records management processes and procedures
  • Understanding of effective project management and analysis activities and skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to act in a professional and courteous manner with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI Public Trust Clearance (required)
