Duties
As a Supervisory Administrative Support Specialist (Travel) at the GS-0301-13, some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Supervise staff as they service as customer service representatives on a support desk providing voucher guidance to travelers through phone calls, emails, Teams chat, etc.
- Supervise staff who completes voucher reviews on both routine and/or unusual travel vouchers and audit travel voucher files for accuracy.
- Supervise staff who ensure travelers have the necessary tools and use of their credit card to meet mission requirements when deployed to a disaster.
- Plans and directs the activities of the travel department in performing travel credit cards, support desk and/or voucher processing duties to ensure an even flow and distribution of work.
- Assists management in assessing the effectiveness of all the administrative functions performed in the travel department.
- This is a permanentposition, which is a Competitive service status position with a Full-Time work schedule.

- DASD ASC is located in the business area of Herndon, VA. It is conveniently located near various eateries and shops and is accessible via public transportation.

Qualifications
To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
- Experience working in two or more areas, including travel vouchers, travel credit cards, and/or the support desk, and interpreting and applying applicable laws, regulations, and policies within those areas;
- Identifying organizational, procedural and production issues and providing solid recommendations for improvement within a department or organization;
- Providing customer service to internal and/or external customers by assessing needs, providing information or assistance, and resolving problems;
- Using software and automated systems designed to accomplish and manage the work in an administrative services department; AND
- Leading or supervising in an official capacity an administrative project or a team/staff of diverse employees in the day-to-day administrative and program support operations for an organization/office.
