Job Summary:
To provide support and complete tasks as directed by the Executive Director of Information Services
Reports to:
Executive Director of Information Services
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of computers and related technologies
- General knowledge of available software packages
- Ability to communicate with staff and students to determine their needs, concerns and/or nature of problems that may be relative to the use of technology equipment or software.
- Ability to assist teachers in the integration of software with curriculum
- Ability to solve independently most minor problems
- Work cooperatively and productively with students and staff
- High school diploma or GED/Preferred minimum of 36 hours college credit hours recently completed in IS/IT/MIS studies.
- Ability to reach, bend and periodically lift up to 25 pounds is required
- Ability to use a hammer drill, ladder, pull cable and mount ceiling speakers.
- Ability to ascend and descend a ladder safely and effortlessly.
- Must be a current Troy CCSD 30C employee
- Pre-employment medical examination, including tuberculosis clearance
- Pass a Regional Office of Education Fingerprint/Background Clearance including Federal Bureau of Investigation
- An internal candidate is required to have experience as a full-time (1.0 FTE) staff member in the Troy 30C school district within this same job category/position
Physical Requirements:
Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing.
Ability to reach, bend and periodically lift up to 25 pounds is required.
Ability to use a hammer drill, ladder, pull cable and mount ceiling speakers
Ability to ascend and descend a ladder safely and effortlessly
Terms of Employment:
Maximum of 40 hours per week on an "on-call" basis as determined by the Executive Director Information Services
Compensation based on time worked and reimbursement of mileage between facilities in the district.
Compensation:
$20.44/ hr.
