When you join InvestBev as an Intern, you'll be responsible for identifying and evaluating growth-stage investment opportunities, conducting financial research, building and strengthening a strong market network, and supporting fundraising. This role offers autonomy and room for career growth and operates in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities

• Deal sourcing - using professional networks (entrepreneurs, universities, incubators, industry peers) and data to proactively identify interesting investment opportunities for the firm
• Screening - conducting initial phone and in-person meetings with founders and management teams
• Due diligence - market sizing, industry research, sector analysis, competitive analysis, financial modeling, background, and reference checks
• Support investment team in negotiation and investment execution
• Synthesizing information to develop an investment memoranda
• Work with individual portfolio companies in support of InvestBev Portfolio Operations
• Conduct investment research, financial analysis and modeling of potential investments
• Develop in-depth assessment of business plans and investment proposals to determine business model viability, industry attractiveness and strategic fit
• Participate in due diligence process with potential investments
• Build strong relationships within the venture and startup ecosystems to source potential investments

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on Finance, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience, ideally in a startup, strategy consulting, or investment banking.
• Startup or entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for businesses in the growth phase, along with a keen interest in entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation
• Proficient in financial modeling with strong capabilities in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to conduct financial analysis and market research.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with team members, portfolio companies, and industry professionals.
• Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willing to take risks while demonstrating a strong work ethic and engaging in teamwork with unwavering integrity.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced multi-team environment.
