Are you looking to start your career in clean energy? Nor-Cal Controls is excited to announce our summer engineering internship! This part-time, paid internship is designed for engineering college students who are interested in pursuing a career in renewable energy, power generation, and industrial controls. You will receive first-hand exposure with how a successful engineering company operates within the growing clean energy industry and gain valuable work experience to help with your career development.
What to Expect?
- Internship program will go through June 3 - August 9, 2024.
- Part-time (20-25 hours per week) at $20/hour.
- Mentors will be assigned to you for the entire duration of the internship.
- You will present what you learned to our leadership panel at the end of the program.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Assembling and programming SCADA racks and MET stations.
- Communication protocol development.
- Human Machine Interface (HMI) development.
- Real Time Automation Controller (RTAC) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) development.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- College students majoring in mechatronics, electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering.
- Some exposure to concepts related to controls and/or electrical power generation.
- Has a genuine interest and passion for controls, power generation, and/or renewable energy.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, eager to learn, and possesses a strong work ethic.
