The NBCUniversal Products & Experiences Internship Program allows students to unlock their potential by contributing to big projects in meaningful ways that matter. Eligibility

To qualify for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program (Business, Marketing or a related field.)
  • Rising Sophomore and above required (30 Credits or more)
  • Available to work onsite a minimum of 3 days a week.

Important Details

  • Applications Open: February 2nd - March 8th.
  • Program Dates: June - Aug (10 weeks)
  • Full-time Los Angeles based role.

  • Submit a one-page resume that outlines your work experience, education, accomplishments, your graduation month /year and major.

  • Design Roles: Submit an updated portfolio with password. PDF format preferred.
Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Developing and creating concept art for characters, environments, and props that support feedback to license partnership. 

  • Collaborating with the creative team to ensure that the concepts meet the game's technical and gameplay requirements. 

  • Iterating on concepts based on directional feedback and making revisions as necessary. 

  • Contributing to the creation of design documentation, presentations, and style guides to communicate supporting creative ideas. 

  • Gather reference materials, design mood boards, and supporting creative materials. 

  • Demonstrating creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail in all aspects of the concept art process. 

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • A portfolio of high-quality concept art that demonstrates strong drawing, painting, and design skills. 

  • Proficiency in digital painting and drawing software such as Photoshop, Procreate, sketchbook or Clip Studio Paint. Preferably the Adobe Creative suite. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and texturing techniques is a plus. 

  • Passion for video games and an understanding of game development processes. 

  • Pursuing a degree in fine arts, illustration, graphic design, or a related field is preferred. 

  • Ability to Illustrate and concept ideas. 

  • Ability to use design tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or comparable software. 

  • Ability to use business tools: Keynote, MSFT Word & Outlook, or comparable software. 

  • Desire to work in the entertainment industry with a passion to work on NBCUniversal brands. 

Desired Characteristics

  • Professional with a desire to learn, grow, and master artistic craft in a corporate environment. 

  • Contributor to team ideas and open to other perspectives. 

  • Love for Illustration, character, and world-building. 

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary: $17/hour - $20/hour
