Boundless Bio (BBI) is a San Diego-based, clinical-stage, next generation precision oncology company interrogating an exciting new area of cancer biology, extrachromosomal DNA ("ecDNA"), to revolutionize the way cancer is treated. We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support our Drug Discovery efforts and play a significant role in helping us transform exciting ecDNA discoveries into the next generation of cancer medicines.
As an intern at BBI you will have an opportunity to:
- Be part of a scientific team learning and working on projects as a team member under the direction of a Senior Research Associate
- Gain basic understanding of Drug Discovery and development logistics
- Learn to use tools applicable at the interface of multiple research disciplines

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of the chemical inventory database
- Support the research group with chemical ordering and inventory logistics
- Assist the lab operations team with day-to-day responsibilities, including shipping and receiving
- Assist research teams with implementation of compound management protocols
- Potential to assist the chemistry group with hazardous waste disposal
- Potential to learn laboratory techniques supporting chemistry research, including modern purification methods and chemical synthesis
- Potential to support formulation preparation for pharmacology studies
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (or Arts) program focused on Chemistry or related discipline
- Must have good practical skills in a laboratory setting, such as keeping an organized laboratory and maintaining a clean working area
- Receptive and eager to learn new skills
- Must be able to follow complex protocols and keep detailed records
- Must prioritize safety in a laboratory environment
- Ability to learn new experimental methods and conduct research
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a controlled laboratory environment
- Experience with common synthetic chemistry methods and purification techniques
- Experience working with ChemDraw and Dotmatics (or other electronic lab notebook and inventory database software)
This is a paid, onsite intern role starting summer break for up to 40 hours/week until fall semester starts. You must currently reside in the San Diego area and be authorized to work for any employer in the US as we do not provide relocation assistance or sponsorship for Intern roles. The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 - $25 per hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of education, previous relevant experience, etc.
