The Substitute Assistant teacher/Paraprofessional works in cooperation with the teachers in the class to provide a learning environment that stimulates the social, emotional and cognitive development of each child enrolled/assigned, as well as maintaining a clean, safe, prepared environment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED-Required
College degree or evidence of completing a degree related to the subject (Early Childhood Learn)
Experience in working with pre-school children (one year preferred)
Ability to communicate effectively and be able to work in a team.
Must be multi-tasked and able to prioritize competing demands.
Knowledge of early childhood education preferred.
Ability to creatively motivate and engage student interests
Attend educational training workshops and in-service sessions planned for staff.
Interpersonal and writing skills required.
Computer skills
