The Studio Operations Associate Manager is a key role responsible for driving overall collaborative efficiency in Studios workflow and analytics reporting and tools. This role focuses on process development, training, and addressing inefficiencies, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligning the Studios team with broader organizational needs. Ideal for a creative problem-solver, the Studio Operations Manager identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities across Studios, working with leadership to prioritize and drive initiatives. Collaboration extends to various experts, ensuring success is measured by meeting capacity demands, creating contingency plans, and maintaining high flexibility in response to changing priorities.
This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
Process Leadership
- Leads initiatives to enhance efficiency across Studios functions, encompassing Studio Operations, Content Creation, Technology Operations, and Physical building operations
- Analyzes processes, identifies opportunities, and offers insights, creating concise documentation
- Serves as a proactive, confident thought leader to influence and achieve goals
- Develops actionable recommendations for Studios leadership and collaborates on team direction, including mentoring and performance management
- Champions policies and guidelines, prioritizes work, and optimizes flow across Studios Production Operations.
- Cultivates a culture of continuous improvement, exemplifying curiosity
- Manages knowledge tools for accessibility (TEAMS, Wiki) and oversees end-to-end success of requests, addressing operational performance issues
- Addresses immediate risks while identifying opportunities for further improvements
- Manages end-to-end success of one-off and/or ambiguous requests
- Identifies gaps and opportunities, turning them into proactive ideas and recommendations
- Identifies potential risks in processes and recommends/executes measures to mitigate them
- Identifies opportunities for cost savings within processes
- Team Management
- Provide clear leadership and direction to the team
- Set and communicate team goals and objectives aligned with the organization’s overall strategies
- Plan, organize and prioritize tasks
- Collaborate with reporting team and stakeholders to optimize efficiency, collaborate on needs
- Identify and address opportunities for optimal team performance
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem solving
- Analytics & Reporting
- Creates tools and processes for clear throughput and effort measurement across teams; ensures all capabilities have up-to-date monthly and ad hoc reporting throughout the year
- Facilitate dashboards and visualizations for easy consumption of data by stakeholders
- Establishes systems and reporting for identifying savings in props and other relevant areas
- Analyzes and recommends continuous improvement in reporting consistencies, advocating stakeholder needs for collaborative enhancement across reporting
- Identify and analyze trends in data, highlighting potential areas for improvement
Basic qualifications
- 5 years experience working in a production management, or process management, or project management
- Deep knowledge of process management and process tools (examples: Visio, Miro, OmniGraffle)
- 2 years of expereince with director or indirect people leadership
