Position Summary Information
General Summary
The Corporate GovernanceStudent Intern will work with the Board of Commissioner's Office and the Corporate Secretary to gain knowledge in the area of Corporate Governance.
Essential Functions
Assist in organizing and preparing agendas and papers for Commission meetings and committees
Provide analytical and tactical support for Board-related functions
Research and transfer information to Commissioners regarding staff recommendations and county input
Assist in drafting minutes
Aid in the review of the Commission bylaws and governance manual
Other Functions
Reference, research, processing, arranging, describing, preserving, and reformatting of records (digital and physical)
Arrange records according to established criteria or review records to provide input on how a series of records should be arranged
- Working through materials to flag them for future conservations, re-housing and digitization

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
Completion of at least one semester of college education
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and ability to create and manipulate Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
