Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, going out into the community
- Accompany clients to outings
- Assist with light housekeeping cleaning and sanitation
- Monitor and manage client behavior, especially for individuals with Autism or other behavioral challenges
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a caregiver or companion is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
- Understanding of basic medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Experience working with individuals with Autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
- Ability to drive and valid driver's license is required for transportation purposes
