We are seeking a sourcing professional to join our team of dedicated employees at our facility in Ridgefield, WA, as part of our Burton Mill Solutions division.
As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be at the forefront of our operations, forging value-driven vendor partnerships that align with our organizational strategies. Your impact will be felt in multiple areas, including risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders, employ structured negotiation processes, and continuously monitor vendor performance. If you're ready to make a difference, this is the role for you!
How You Will Make a Positive Impact:
- Manage sourcing operations to establish value-driven vendor partnerships
- Employ structured negotiation processes for supplier negotiations and contracting
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define material, quality, service, and cost requirements and standards
- Nurture vendor partnerships and monitor KPIs through scorecards
- Evaluate new sources, methods, and vendors to reduce costs and ensure a reliable supply of materials
- Stay updated on market intelligence and conduct market analysis to anticipate price fluctuations
- Utilize ERP systems and software tools to manage processes effectively
- Collaborate with manufacturing plants and sales teams to ensure timely procurement
The Value You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferably with supply chain management or procurement
- Minimum of 5 years sourcing experience, sourcing steel is preferred
- Essential experience in manufacturing industry
- Possess 3-5 years ERP/MRP systems experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance, cost structures and market trends
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and modeling
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient negotiation skills for contract and pricing negotiations
- Extensive knowledge of vendor sourcing, supplier reliability analysis, and risk management
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% including international travel, and possess current passport
