Purpose: In this role, you will drive the strategic global sourcing plan to ensure it meets design vision, merchant requirements and Company financial goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate costing, order booking timing and quality concerns throughout the product development process to cross-functional teams and drive resolutions to meet financial targets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams: PLM, Design and Product Development to cost engineer product that meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Report style costing for key meeting milestones: LR2, LR3, Assortment Review and Buy Meetings and additionally as requested by Sourcing management. Build action plan to resolve cost concern styles. Elevate cost issues to Sourcing Management in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Materials team to ensure fabrics are developed to meet design intent, merchant requirements and financial goals.
  • Consistent evaluation of vendors base and region to support evolving business needs.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance on pre-production garment testing.
  • Partner with Production team to drive timely resolution of production issues in order to deliver on-time.
  • Partner with cross-functional Sourcing and Production Planning teams to balance Vendor base allocation.
  • Negotiate final style cost and deliveries to meet company financial goals and sales timing requirements.
  • Negotiate fabric and garment minimums to meet business requirements.
  • Report seasonal Wrap-up information to leaders in Sourcing, PLM, Channel Merchant and Planning: Final IMU by business and outstanding issues with timeline for resolution.
  • Collaborate with channel merchants and production team on salesman sample process
  • Resolution of daily issues.
  • Process pre-production changes to Vendors, communicating liability impact, potential delivery delays and quality concerns to cross-functional stake holders. Build T.A.C to execute product change.
  • Consult with Quality Assurance on production testing issues/failures and collaborate on resolutions.
  • Resolve vendor disputes in a timely manner; Claims, RTV and Liabilities.
  • Manage Liabilities report and dispositions.
  • Monitor sub calendars.
  • Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience in Sourcing, in the Apparel industry with Americas and Asia experience.
  • Proven ability to work within Retail (product development, production, merchandising, planning, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Advanced Excell skills
  • Exceptionally strong problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • SAP or Flex PLM experience is preferred
  • Travel may be required, based on business needs.
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Hybrid schedule is 3 days per week in-office, working from the Seattle HQ (located in SoDo)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level

Requirements & EEO Statement

The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $86,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
