The role of a Strategic Researcher is pivotal in ensuring that we understand the needs of our current and potential customers and that potential solutions address these opportunities. They need to be an oracle of knowledge and be ahead, not behind, our product development teams and executives. We need to be asking the next question first, before we are given an outcome. Researchers also need to work across the entire organization to raise our collective body of knowledge. Sharing and evangelizing is the most powerful outcome from this role. Work will be fully transparent in JIRA and managed as quarterly plans and executed as bi-weekly sprints.
User Researchers will work within the guidelines and priorities of 1. our overall product + technology strategy; 2. the product specific (iGaming and Sports Betting) strategies; 3. Team objectives and priorities. User Researcher will be part of the overall Strategy and Design function, and work with other researchers as well as with strategy, product, and design leaders in the organization.
- Define Quarterly Research Objectives
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Cross-RA Leadership, and RA Leadership to establish quarterly research objectives aligned with our Product Strategy and stakeholder requirements.
- Deliverables :
- Quarterly Research Objectives documented and shared with stakeholders.
- A presentation summarizing the objectives, their significance, and their alignment with the organizational strategy.
- Define Quarterly Research Strategy
- To fulfill the Quarterly Objectives, manage research initiatives using JIRA.
- Each initiative must focus on a specific research question or hypothesis, with well-defined methodologies and deliverables.
- Deliverables :
- Quarterly Research Strategy documented in a clear and accessible manner.
- Presentation to stakeholders outlining the strategy and its alignment with business goals.
- Execute Research Studies & Readouts
- Employ an agile methodology to conduct research studies aligned with Quarterly Objectives and Strategy.
- Determine the most appropriate research methodologies and tools for each initiative.
- Conduct interviews and focus groups with external and internal customers as required.
- Deliverables :
- Research plans and methodologies for each initiative.
- Comprehensive readout reports containing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Periodic presentations to stakeholders and teams, communicating findings and their implications for the project.
- Execute Ad-Hoc Research Studies & Readouts
- As necessary, conduct ad-hoc research studies and create readouts for each effort.
- Manage all ad-hoc research initiatives in JIRA, ensuring clear tracking and reporting.

- Clear documentation of ad-hoc research initiatives in JIRA.
- Detailed ad-hoc research findings presented in clear, actionable readout reports.
- Regular knowledge-sharing sessions to disseminate insights and educate the organization.
- Vendor Management
- Manage the relationship with userexperience.com, including procurement activities, to maximize our return on investment.
- Continuously research and recommend new tools and resources to enhance our research capabilities.

- Effective vendor relationship management and procurement activities.
- Recommendations for new tools or resources that improve research capabilities, presented to relevant teams and management.
- Net Promoter Score (NPS) Research
- Explore and incorporate NPS research methodologies where relevant. Assess user satisfaction and loyalty to improve our services and products.
- Deliverables :
- Implementation of NPS research in relevant projects, where applicable.
- Reports on NPS findings and recommendations for improving user satisfaction and loyalty.
- Define Quarterly Research Objectives
This role is remote, with one required visit to your designated home office per quarter.
