Staff Accountant

Position: Full-Time AccountantLocation: Adel, IA (On-site)Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per yearWe are a dynamic and rapidly growing accounting firm located in Adel, IA, currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Full-Time Accountant. Please note that this position primarily requires working in-office and is open to local applicants only.Responsibilities:Prepare accurate general ledger entries, ensuring comprehensive documentation.Post journal entries for month-end close.Perform and review bank reconciliations.Reconcile key general ledger accounts.Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports to meet client data requirements.Assist in maintaining fixed assets and depreciation schedules using accounting software.Contribute to various special projects and compile reports as required.Support payroll processing, including payroll tax return filing.Perform other assigned duties as necessary.Qualifications:Associate's degree in accounting preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or payroll role preferred.Strong knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial areas within a growing organization.Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with peers, management, and clients.Proficiency in operating computer systems and utilizing software programs such as QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office.Experience in recordkeeping, account reconciliation, invoice processing, data entry, and basic financial reporting.Additional Information:This is a full-time position.Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 per year.Benefits package includes 401(k) with matching, dental insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending account, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.The work environment is office-based.Working hours are Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift.We foster an outcome-oriented, people-focused, and team-oriented culture, providing a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including older job seekers and those with disabilities, are encouraged to apply.
