As a Sr. Real-Time Pricing Analyst, you will manage pricing levers and consult on the optimal pricing strategy for real-time pricing channels. Real-time pricing channels, such as API pricing, Index Pricing Contracts, Market Access and the spot market are growing channels for Uber Freight. These channels need to be fine tuned to the market. Additionally, as shippers seek long-term pricing through RFPs, real-time channels need to be optimized to complement long-term offerings. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders to evaluate, position and execute conversion on Real-Time Pricing opportunities from our customers. You will engage with our Sales & Account Management teams to determine ideal candidates for real-time pricing channel(s) solutions. In addition, you will monitor real-time pricing performance and use pricing levers to optimize our cutting edge algorithms to deliver the best results for our customers.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with stakeholders to determine optimal real-time pricing channel(s) approach, accounting for ever-changing market conditions and long-term pricing structures
- Monitor real-time pricing channel performance and make appropriate adjustments through pricing controls
- Deliver customized real-time pricing strategies to shippers during in-person or remote meetings
- Identify target customers to grow real-time pricing channels
- Create and evolve operational playbook for Sales and Account Management team members
- Evolve and own processes for maintaining constant awareness of US freight market conditions and communicate them to the Uber Freight team
- Provide analytical insights and partner with appropriate stakeholders to pursue growth opportunities and address areas of improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Ability to manage direct interaction with strategic customers to grow our business
- SQL expertise and exceptional Excel and Data Management Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Collaborative team player who enjoys partnering with cross functional stakeholders
- Passionate about leveraging technology, innovation, and analytics for process improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working in the freight industry
- Deep knowledge of geographic and seasonal trends in the freight industry
- Customer engagement experience
- Proficiency using R, Python
- Proficiency using Salesforce
- Proficiency in Tableau
