JOB PURPOSE:
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for performing day-to-day duties related to loading pricing, cost and contract analysis and issue resolution within our Special Sales department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
Perform competitor analysis on similar products and services.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Ability to filter and "clean" data by utilizing reports.
Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing.
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts
of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly pricing, reporting and contract analysis.
Research pricing discrepancies, provide accurate resolutions and load pricing accurately.
Run cost analysis reporting.
Able to reset/adjust priorities as the business demands.
Managing day-to-day tasks while carrying projects to successful completion.
Work independently in a deadline driven environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Enthusiastic and proactive team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong independent analytic and critical thinking skills
Proficient in the basic features of all Microsoft Office products.
Proficient in the advanced features of Microsoft Excel: lookup formulas and pivot tables (a plus).
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and deliver on expectations.
Someone who can handle criticism and constructive feedback and provide it when needed.
