Overview
Salary Range: $34 - $38 / Hourly
This position is responsible for the precise preparation, including tuning and “track set-up” of Kawasaki vehicles for marketing and media purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, repairs, and cleans selected Kawasaki product to precise specifications for press introductions, magazine tests, press events, and/or demo rides as directed.
- Performs diagnostics to collect information about problems and to determine source of error. Reports product problems to Q.A. for further investigation.
- Isolates performance issues to determine cause of malfunctions.
- Documents all aspects of vehicle preparation, repair, etc.
- Coordinates the loading and transportation of product, parts, support equipment and tools to event sites.
- Provides technical and event support at press introductions and magazine tests.
- Interacts in a professional manner with media personnel at selected media events.
- Performs expert vehicle break-ins and “track set-ups”.
- Performs recall repairs.
- Maintains shop supplies and equipment.
- Maintains current knowledge of Kawasaki vehicle product line.
- Quickly learns all technical/mechanical aspects of new Kawasaki products.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is mandatory; an Associate’s degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year college is preferred; and minimum five years related experience and/or training in a Product Support/technical environment; or equivalent combination of education experience.

- Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel is required.

- Welding and/or machining knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Proficient with the use of precision measuring tools.
- Must maintain a current motorcycle license and forklift operator/safety training certification.
- Must have a good driving record.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude; be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
- Willing to accept responsibility and be relied on to perform.
- Attendance must be maintained at a satisfactory level.
- Occasional travel to support press events or demo rides is required.
