Job Description
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our organization’s efforts to secure sensitive data, reduce vulnerabilities, and enhance threat management. You will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity strategies that align with the organization’s goals and the IT Modernization Plan.
- Data Encryption: Lead the design and implementation of data encryption solutions for critical enterprise repositories within data center systems including servers and mainframes.
- Key Management Infrastructure (KMI): Oversee and manage the encryption Key Management Infrastructure, ensuring the secure and reliable management of encryption keys used for data protection.
- Vendor Solution Evaluation: Evaluate, implement, and manage encryption key management solutions, ensuring they meet industry best practices and organizational security policies.
- Database Security: Collaborate with database administrators to implement and manage encryption solutions for various database applications, including Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server.
- System Classification: Classify and prioritize IT assets into three categories: Tier 1 (Mainframe), Tier 2 (Servers), and Tier 3 (Workstations), with a focus on securing Tier 1 and Tier 2 assets.
- Interoperability: Ensure that the encryption Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) is designed to seamlessly integrate with authentication systems from multiple vendors and service providers.
- Incident Response: Develop and participate in incident response procedures related to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on data encryption, key management, and threat management in enterprise-level environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess risks and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus).
- Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Resident (Green Card status) for at least three (3) years, and Federal Tax compliant.
