Sr. It Project Manager (Technical)

Description

As a Sr. Project Manager at SymSoft, you will report to senior management through a broad spectrum of project management activities including Coordination of design/development activities, action items tracking, support administrative activities such as scheduling meetings, managing project calendars, and management of project communications. The Sr. Project Manager will also interact with customer staff and stakeholders at all levels.

This is a full-time onsite position in Sacramento, CA.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between business partners and developments teams; build a strong relationship with the business in support of ongoing demands
• Creating and maintaining project plans, project schedules, projects status, work hours, budgets, identifying and communicating risk/issue, and coordinating efforts across departments from multiple organizations
• Facilitating and attending stakeholder and internal meetings
• Demonstrated high ownership and ability to drive issues to resolution
• Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
• Ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to develop a technical understanding Web and Cloud Technologies

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience in IT Project Management. with at least 3 years managing Web/Mobile technology projects.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, experience using the principles of Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK)
• Hands-on experience working with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and Project Management tools such as Jira and Team Foundation Server
• Expert with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Microsoft Project (Project Baselines and Project Tracking)
• Proven ability to develop a technical understanding Web and Cloud Technologies.
• Extremely detail-oriented, organized and self-starter
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills working within all levels of the organizations
• Experience of project management approaches, tools and all phases of the SDLC

• Work with senior management to develop proposals in response to clients requests for proposals for both public and private sector clients.

Desirable

• Experience in working with the Public Sector.
• 2+ years of experience managing Web Content Management System implementation projects

• Research and work with the team to develop proposals that speak to the client s needs, concerns, and objectives.
• Research and build relationships with potential new clients, and turn this into increased business.

• Salary Range: $90,000/ Year to $125,000/Year. (Depends on experience and Negotiable)
