HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Sr. IT Manager, Business Operations (Supply Chain) is responsible for leading and coaching the IT Business Operations (Supply Chain) Team supporting the business areas of Supply Chain, manufacturing, procurement, and distribution. Working closely with the business functions, this leader will ensure they are well supported by setting and delivering negotiated expectations. This leader will bring experience and expertise to understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the specific functional organization to achieve its goals. With tight alignment to the business function, the leader will evoke, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Provides effective translation of business requirements to IT needs as well as successful execution and delivery of system solution to functional needs and ensures solution provides consistent IT building blocks in the back end that effectively integrates with other functional areas as needed.
This position will report to the Director of Business Transformation and will lead a group of 5 team members.
THE DETAILS
  • Work with the Operations (Supply Chain) business area as a liaison and representative of the Oregon Tool IT department
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve the goals of the functional area
  • Partners across IT with other functional IT stacks, Infrastructure, Security, Development, and BI to deliver cross-functional asks of the business, ensuring all experts are included in troubleshooting and solutioning
  • Identify and resolve ongoing day to day business issues pertaining to IT
  • Effectively help the Operations business area in managing a portfolio of business projects and assist in effective prioritization of projects that need to be executed. (assisting with the business case, high level feasibility studies). Also report status of on-going prioritized projects to the Operations and IT leadership
  • Effectively manage the execution of prioritized business projects as well as translation into IT projects that need to be executed to make the Operations business area successful
  • Liaise with other project/business functional areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues
  • Improve business processes and contribute to enterprise architecture development from a business needs point of view
  • Analyze data and map processes (current state/future state)
  • Produce high quality documentation for requirements, solution options, recommended optimum solution, and project management / execution to deliver on promise. Manage change requests, traceability matrix (tracing requirements during implementation), acceptance, installation, and deployment of solution.
  • Partner well with external application vendors on managing existing technologies and exploring new opportunities

QULIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business, or related is preferred
  • 10 + years of highly relevant experience in transforming business through effective IT execution
  • SAP experience required; IBP, Warehouse Management, ShipERP, SAP Mii, Loftware, and SolidWorks preferred
  • Project Management, ITIL, and Master Data Management knowledge/experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Identify key stakeholders based on the problem being addressed. Business champion/sponsor, Business lead, Project manager, Team members
  • Domain analysis knowledge: Strong in the process of analyzing related software systems in the Operations business area to find their common and variable functionalities relevant to the business
  • Able to provide expertise in the modeling/mapping of business processes, conducts as-is/to-be business processes, is instrumental in the business process re-engineering (BPR) and is involved in the change management exercise
  • Skills around analysis on how realistic the requirements are in terms of effort, time, and costs and understands, manages, and articulates the purpose served by individual requirements in relation to larger business and/or project goal
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,600 to $178,000.
