You will provide leadership and oversight to the Health Safety & Environment (HS&E) functions, activities, and performance for the multiple UOP locations in the region, establishing strong working relationships with site leadership and the employees, and will report directly to the UOP HSE Director. You will be a key leader within UOP, managing sustainable health and safety programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes. You will ensure that the locations keep in front of leading practices in health, safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct the health, safety and environment (HS&E) function including: Strategic planning, budget management and management of HS&E Operations at the Beggs, and Russell locations, as well as provide HSE support to the Tulsa, Midland and Houston offices.
• Assure the ongoing maintenance of an effective HS&E Management System
• Develop and implement comprehensive programs of loss prevention, emergency preparedness, safety, environmental protection and industrial hygiene assuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Honeywell requirements
• Influence all levels of the organization to mature the site HSE Management System and promote HSE Excellence
• Direct a comprehensive program of training, review, inspection, audit, reporting and documentation related to health, safety and environment
• Liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders
• Manage third party project managers
• Support the UOP HSE function with standardization of training, data analytics, and assistance with HSE initiatives.
YOU MUST HAVE
• 3+ years of experience in HSE compliance and Management Systems, such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 18001 or 9001
• 3+ years of experience in engineering, chemical manufacturing, safety, environmental science, or related field

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Safety, Environmental Science, Scienceor similar field
• Strong oral and written communications
• Lean Expert or Six Sigma Black belt certification
• Experience planning and directing strategic initiatives with excellent project management skills
• Demonstrated analytical, business planning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to influence Site Management teams
• Ability to identify and action issues, requirements, and opportunities for improvement
• Ability to forge solid relationships and manage multiple stakeholders
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient under pressure
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
