The Job
The Sr. Director, CMO Strategy & Transformation has leadership accountability for driving key activities across healthcare domain to support SCAN's mission of keeping seniors healthy & independent. These include:
• Annual strategic planning process
• Oversight of all in-scope strategic initiatives & leading the implementation of prioritized initiative
• Performance monitoring and evaluation at department and initiative/program levels
• Driving the strategy and implementation of key initiatives to achieve optimal integration with key provider groups
You Will
Lead the development and execution of healthcare strategy and innovation in partnership with key leaders across the CMO departments and organization in service of our mission of keeping seniors healthy and independent.
Directly responsible for facilitation, oversight, implementation and continuous monitoring of the full range of strategic initiatives and programs under the CMO organization/Health Care domain. This includes Pharmacy, Healthcare services, Independence at Home, Complex care management and Medical Policy.
Support the CMO to identify business challenges and translate them into hypotheses, research needs, and/or internally led solutions. Bring answers that drive/influence strategic decisions and long-term thinking.
Ensure the CMO department is well positioned to address emerging industry trends and requirements through the design, implementation, and enhancement of effective and efficient programs and processes.
Responsible for facilitating business transformation planning, prioritization and implementation across multiple CMO departments.
Collaborate and partner with SCAN Health Plan Operations and IT Business leader for multi-functional process- and/or tech-based system implementations across the Health Care domain (i.e., those pursued by Health Care Services, Clinical Operations, Pharmacy, Medical Policy & Independence at Home)
Responsible for driving and maintaining KPIs for the performance management for the CMO organization.
Advance SCAN's healthcare and clinical programs through clinical strategy development, pilot testing innovations, improving clinical and healthcare outcomes, and optimizing operations.
Organize efforts to scale successful pilots, working with Network Management leadership to engage additional networks to adopt integration solutions. May involve vendor management on projects. Successful pilots will become the basis of broader network implementation efforts.
Staff Provider Integration Strategy Committee (internal) and Provider Integration Steering Committee (including provider representation) to support development of metrics and measurements, programmatic definition, and ongoing identification of integration opportunities.
Provide decision support to senior management; analyze and present critical information to facilitate executive decision making, including investments supporting Provider Integration.
Other duties as assigned.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Actively supports the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed.
7 - 10 years of experience in healthcare, strategic planning and implementation of business transformation type initiatives, or related field.
Medicare knowledge, preferred.
Excellent analytical skills and verbal/written communication, including presentation, skills.
