Entertainment technical director- Fabrication

EFX is a small business that does BIG things with local and national traveling teams, producing everything from the most prominent TV spots to small countertop projects. A small company that is Paramount studios and Universal Studios most popular fabrication shop for event fabrication and effects. With a fabrication facility, Print facility, and Special Effects floor this small team is known by most as the guys that make it happen

We are currently looking for a Technical Director with experience in CAD 2D and 3D, photoshop, AI, and similar programs they choose and work well for them. We tend to work on projects that are 1-day use or possibly a few weeks at most. Permanent work isn't our gig. Our turnaround time is typically incredibly quick 1-5 days. Designs can very from as simple as quick 2D layouts to multi level, multi step process. We never do the same thing twice, One day its a grand opening, the next exploding crates in Florida, back on the plane for a custom tour bus in Texas the week after.

Our small team of employees are a family, positive vibes is the feel and we treat each other with a great amount of appreciation and respect. All departments jump in to help each other when in need with a smile. We have slow weeks and we have hammer, little sleep weeks, doing it with a positive attitude and providing resolve instead of a negative attitude is the only option.

• Provide direct coordination between Sales, shop and event site for event productions.
• Produce shop drawings and Cut sheets for shop and CNC operators
• Work with various departments to integrate A/V, lighting, electrical, and special effects elements into design package.
• Produce accurate technical drawings, details, install packages, as-built, structural, rough and finish construction details, etc. for internal, and outsourcing to contractors/vendors
• Coordinate design documentation from contractors/vendors with an emphasis on checking for compliance with contractual requirements and specifications.
• Assist estimating and design
• Produce installation packages that adequately shows the installation crew how to install the exhibit within the larger space.
• Experinece in photoshop,AI, In design,V-carve and like programs ++++
• Provide revision and document control digitally and on site.
• Coordinate close-out packages, maintenance manuals, as-builts, and revisions.
