Responsibilities:
- Originate and maintain meaningful and profitable client relationships as well as engaging with the business community.
- Develop and train staff, and create opportunities for growth
- Adheres to and follows the policies and procedures as established for all team members of the Firm, including time entry, billing and collections, technology use and service methodologies
- Creates personal billing production by service to clients (hours times billing rate invoices and collected)
- Develops, leads and participates in initiatives to recruit talented people
- Demonstrates effective skills of managing work in progress (WIP,) billing, and accounts receivable
- Maintains admirable realization and utilization rate for client base and personal billings
- Achieves results (additional clients and/or client billings) from business development efforts
- Nurtures long-term relationships with clients
- Provides exceptional client service demonstrated in quality client deliverables and responsiveness and accessibility to clients that leads to client retention and client testimonials
- Identifies opportunities for generating new ways to add value to existing clients
- Participates in the Firm's mentoring and/or performance management programs by meeting with assigned staff and conducting performance reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of experience in public accounting
- Must be CPA certified and have an active CPA license to practice in Virgina.
- Experience with privately held businesses, individuals, estates, trusts, nonprofit organizations, and employee benefit plans. Various industries (government contractors, nonprofits, real estate, construction, healthcare providers, and professional service firms).
- Experience with individual and business tax returns, corporate and pass through entity work
