The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Accounting and Reporting:
- Review and code vendor invoices, oversee vendor payment issues, and reconcile accounts.
- Review AR aging, identify high-priority accounts, and execute a collection plan.
- Responsible for the Monthly Closing Support. Prepare and analyze financial statements and ad-hoc reports by the reporting deadlines.
- Prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including direct labor, materials, and overhead. Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee inventory valuation and collaborate with production teams to reconcile discrepancies and track inventory movement. Participate in physical inventory count.
- Coordinate, review, and timely complete the annual financial audit.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement and solve problems.
Compliance:
- Internal Controls: Analyze information and processes and recommend improving internal controls over the process flows and financial reporting. (SOX compliance)
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit requests.
- Other duties as assigned by Controller.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
- Big 4 experience desirable.
- Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Microsoft Dynamic 365 experience is preferable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Advanced/Expert Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish desired
- Must be capable of sitting and using a computer for extended periods of time throughout the workday
- Must have the ability to maneuver the shop floor, administer postings, and general administration throughout the facility.
- Required to talk or hear.
- Required to pass eye tests.
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Required to use finger, handle, feel & reach with hands & arms.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Salary Range: Salaried exempt $95,000 - $110,000 plus bonus potential 10%
