Responsibilities:
- Implement the global sourcing strategy that meets or exceeds financial and business objectives while adhering to calendar deadlines
- Maintain relationships with vendors
- Collaborate with Global Sourcing Team on costing strategy and cost negotiations to meet financial targets
- Manage and develop vendor and factor base for capacity management and category planning
- Maintain vendor partnerships that support the allocation process in an effort to minimize costs and maximize efficiencies
- Participate in product approval process ensuring on-time delivery and quality product
- Manage and resolve vendor claims and chargebacks
- Oversee and develop high performing teams
- Identify opportunities to develop and improve the efficiency of sourcing processes for international markets (i.e., market specific testing, labeling and shipping requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 8+ years of experience in global sourcing
- Sourcing for international markets required – specifically China, India and Mexico
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Ability to interact and influence with all levels within the organization
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a strong sense of urgency
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
