Your responsibilities would encompass supporting the sourcing, and activities to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Here are some key areas of focus:
1. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor performance, resolve any issues or disputes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Sourcing: Identify and evaluate current and potential suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions and ensure the procurement of high-quality goods and services at the best possible prices.
3. Purchase Order Lifecycle: Own the entire Purchase Order Lifecycle for your product line. From determining supply needs, Purchase Order Tracking, Delivery Expectation. Review and assist with Purchase Order and / or Invoice discrepancies to resolve Pricing, Late Delivery, Quantity Standards, Packing and monitor Chargebacks and Payment to all vendors. Review open Purchase Orders and proactively ensure that they are delivered on time.
4. Production Management: Implement cost-effective procurement practices, such as conducting cross negotiations, exploring alternative sourcing options, and optimizing buying and order placement. Identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier performance, initiatives to improvement in suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
5. Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze Supply Chain processes, identify areas for improvement, expanded contract suppliers as needed while implementing strategies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and minimize risks.
6. Compliance and Risk Management: Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and mitigate Supply Chain risks.
7. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to Sourcing and Supply Chain activities, generate reports and metrics to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Review purchase order, ensuring compliance around pricing, payment terms, volume, and delivery commitments.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, production, sales, and finance teams, to align Sourcing and Supply Chain strategies with business objectives.
By effectively supporting the procurement function, you contribute to optimizing costs, ensuring a reliable supply of goods, and services, mitigating risks, and driving overall operational excellence.
Travel Requirement: Up to 50%
Requirements • 3+ years of experience in a CPG procurement role
