Job Summary
The Solution Specialist will conduct technical training courses for customers and/or staff with T2's enterprise suite of solutions. You will interact with customers and cross-functional teams to develop training curriculum and prepare lesson plans from engineering documentation. You will work with Engineering and Technology, Manufacturing, Content Management, and Product Management teams to ensure that course material reflects current product features.
As the Solution Specialist, you will instruct participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. You are also responsible for supporting the Customer Success Team through goodwill training and/or consulting for red or yellow customers.
This position requires knowledge of all things parking. These requirements include customer presentations, training methodology and materials development, and written and verbal communications with minimal guidance. Travel to customer sites is required. Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain solution expertise including all associated software/hardware.
- Advises customers in the creation, design, specification, testing, and implementation of T2's products and
- Works with internal project management, sales, and technical teams to ensure product meets customer needs.
- Support the sales team as a technical lead in add-on business by providing technical demonstrations and presentations.
- Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures
- Reviews and analyzes customer business and operations including workflow, decision process, and business objectives. Ensures customer satisfaction during and after the implementation
- Manages multiple system installations and projects simultaneously.
- Design and deliver training curriculum for internal staff and related to the assigned add-on solutions including:
- Software features and functions
- Hardware features and functions
- Technologies utilized in T2 solutions
- T2 service offerings
- Create training materials such as instructor guides, training aids, and/or handouts
- Consult with customers as necessary for customer goodwill
- Gather detailed information about the customers parking operation and business practices to recommend the best hardware and software configuration options
- Troubleshoot customer challenges and make recommendations to resolve
- Document recommendations, processes, and day-to-day procedures for staff to follow after the visit
- Develop best practices recommendations and training for:
- System maintenance
- Use and configuration of T2 solutions to meet operational and business objectives
- Support the launch of new T2 products and equipment by helping to prepare and deliver content training
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Parking and Transportation Industry experience preferred.
- Experience related to providing software/hardware product training is preferred.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills required.
- Excellent writing and grammar skills in addition to relevant technical knowledge required.
- Strong working knowledge of technical content production.
- Strong working knowledge of a learning management system such as Litmos.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
