Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist II will help plan, design, deploy, and execute test suites for software application development, information system launches, and operations systems enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute test cases and document results thoroughly, identifying and reporting defects in a clear and concise manner.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that software changes have not negatively impacted existing functionality.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Utilize bug tracking tools to report, track, and manage defects through resolution.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to communicate testing progress, results, and potential risks.
- Conduct performance testing to assess software stability, responsiveness, and scalability.
- Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure software compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with end-users during UAT, providing support and addressing feedback to ensure the software meets user expectations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software QA Tester or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test techniques, and QA processes.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools
- Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
- Understanding of security testing principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Quality Assurance Certification is a plus.
Full Time Remote Opportunity
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a remote position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel No travel is expected for this position.
