ACARA Solutions and our large defense client have 5 REMOTE contract to hire positions available for both SW Engineering & Systems Engineering
Hourly rates starting at $88.00 and up DOE
All levels of experience 2-10 years with a BA and US Citizenship required.
Would like front and back-end experience.
AWS Kafka front end, some back-end Python & Java
Cloud centric
- As a systems/software you'll be a cross-functional team member responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
- Minimum of 2 years experience as systems/software I&T engineer that includes experience in both front and back-end - AWS Kafka front end, and back-end with Python & Java
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- DevSecOps experience with some of the following platforms/tools, such as
- AWS
- GitLab
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Jenkins
- Ansible
- Terraform
- Missile Warning/Missile Tracking system integration, test, operations experience
- Ground operations experience
- CI/CD pipeline development
- Satellite communications knowledge
- Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
- Ability to lead the software development process
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
- Test automation
- Familiar with Agile philosophies and processes
