HWIL Systems Engineer

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking aHWIL Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing avionics hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulations to support the development and testing of avionics systems for our aerospace clients.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and execute avionics HWIL simulations for testing avionics systems in aircraft.
• Develop test procedures and test cases for avionics systems based on customer requirements.
• Work closely with software and hardware teams to ensure that avionics systems meet required specifications and standards.
• Develop and maintain avionics HWIL test systems, including hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and debug avionics HWIL test systems.
• Analyze test results and report findings to the software and hardware teams.
• Participate in the development of new avionics system requirements.
• Keep up to date with the latest avionics technologies and trends.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• US Citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 
• 7+ years of experience in avionics HIL testing.
• Experience with avionics HIL testing methodologies.
• Experience with avionics test equipment, such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Strong understanding of avionics systems and software development.
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as C and Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team..
