- Create a warm and welcoming environment for all residents, family members and vendors
- Respond to emails and phone calls in a timely manner
- Assist with discharge planning, including contacting physician offices and ordering equipment
- File and maintains documents as required
- Completes file audits as needed to ensure departmental compliance
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars

- A minimum of two years’ administrative experience demonstrating the ability to support management in a variety of tasks.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or similar medical setting preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft office systems software
- Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system preferred

- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices through critical thinking skills

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Works in office area.
- Must be able to move throughout the buildings and grounds as needed throughout the day; must be able to lift to 25lbs.
- Good visual and hearing acuity required.
- Must be able to speak English, with good verbal communication skills
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- Subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, staff and visitors.
- May have to work extended hours.
- May be exposed to communicable diseases, and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV, Flu, and/or HBV.
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and offensive odors.
