As our Social Media Specialist, you are enhancing consumer engagement with our brands by providing a strong, meaningful online presence for our company by monitoring and actively engaging on owned and external channels and Social Media sites; furthering our mission of opening the world to the amazing awe of the great outdoors.  

Reporting to our Brand Evangelist, we need a marketer who can work collaboratively with our marketing team to effectively increase Social Media followers and consumer engagement.

What you will be doing:

  • You’re the voice of our brands. You’ll be the online presence searching for and responding to online conversations with customers to cultivate social growth and engagement across digital media.
  • You engage our consumers- both on Social Media, proactively seeking engagement in emerging channels; and in-person, participating in brand activations and community events across the US.
  • You manage the Social Media calendar scheduling and publishing content you curate and create, including graphics and other visual elements that are optimized for specificsocial platforms and intended audiences. You perform monthly campaign ideation and planning that reaches brand targets, and supports strategic initiates that you help to develop.
  • You provide reporting and analysis of Social Media trends to stay up-to-date with changes and deliver monthly reports with statistics and analytical results for each platform.
  • You collaborate with the internal marketing department and outside agencies to execute digital and social campaigns.
  • Some domestic travel required 

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience using social/digital media publishing platforms within a business environment.
  • Demonstrated creative skills to deliver compelling content (text, image, video.)
  • Familiarity with online marketing channels and strategies. Demonstrated analytical skills to recognize emerging trends in digital technologies with the ability to act proactively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Basic knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively  communicate with customers/consumers, internal teams and external vendors. Ability to understand the brand and products and communicate directly with customers on Social Media mediums.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
