Social Media Specialist

Description

You’ll work closely with our Social Media marketing director and all of our content creation team to create, edit, schedule, and post campaigns across Social Media and marketing channels.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with in-person and remote team members, demonstrating clear and empathetic communication skills

- Follow online calendars and task lists to create, edit, schedule, and post campaigns within a strict timeline

- Oversee all Social Media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter) with pre-scheduled content and real-time communication (i.e., responding to comments and DMs in a timely manner)

- Create shareable social content (film, photograph, edit, etc.) for all marketing channels in the style and vision of our overarching marketing strategy

- Manage digital file storage (Google Drive) and online organizational tools to build a usable, shareable content library of campaign assets

- Review performance analytics and suggest improvements for future ads and campaigns

Qualifications

- Advanced knowledge of Social Media platforms, trends, and marketing principles to be applied in a professional setting

- Intermediate knowledge of photo/video editing software for content creation purposes (Adobe suite, Canva)

- Basic knowledge of e-commerce systems and marketing tools (SproutSocial, WooCommerce, Meta Business)

- Ability to learn and adapt your content creation skills to our brand style, story, and vision

- Excellent written communication skills, on-camera presence, and visual design style

- Excellent time management and digital organization skills to complete tasks on schedule, sometimes with flexible or last-minute requests

- Willing to accept creative feedback, follow directions, and learn from a marketing mentor

- Eager to learn about new software, product designs, and innovations in the pet industry

- A degree in communication or marketing is preferred, but not required

Additional Compensation:
