Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media and Marketing Manager Intern to join our team. The intern will assist in developing and implementing Social Media strategies, managing Social Media accounts, creating engaging content, and supporting marketing initiatives to promote our brand and products both online as well as potentially in person at large events on the beach this summer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing Social Media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and followership across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and TikTok.
- Create and curate compelling content, including photos, videos, graphics, and captions, that align with our brand identity and resonate with our target audience.
- Manage and maintain Social Media accounts by scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring analytics to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Research industry trends, competitor activity, and audience preferences to inform content creation and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Assist in organizing and attending events, surf competitions, and community outreach initiatives to promote brand visibility and engage with customers.
- Contribute ideas and creative input to brainstorming sessions and team meetings.
- Assist with other marketing tasks and projects as needed.
- Collaborate and get hands on experience driving and expanding sales into surf shops across the country.
- Network with industry professionals, attending events on the beach this summer!
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Social Media platforms and analytics tools.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with photography, videography, and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Passion for surfing and a strong interest in the surf industry is a plus, but not necessary.

Pay: $13.88 - $15.13 per hour
