Social Media Intern

Strong Roots 9 is looking for a motivated Social Media Intern to support the digital media staff to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue. Duties of the Social Media Intern include the following:

• Writing posts and crafting captions
• Creating Social Media campaigns
• Performing research for the Social Media team
• SEO and email marketing
• Understanding and monitoring Social Media analytics
• Coordinating and distributing content
• Managing a company’s Social Media community
• Tracking analytics for Social Media campaigns

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and able to work remotely and independently with check ins.

If you have previous experience in Social Media, we’d like to meet you. This position is flexible, Monday to Friday, and averages 20 hours per week. There is also an opportunity for this position to become a full-time role.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design and execution of Social Media campaigns
• Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various Social Media websites
• Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on Social Media and traditional news outlets
• Track Social Media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
• Perform Social Media marketing research
• Assist on influencer campaign strategy
• Respond to comments and DMs on Social Media platforms
• Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
• • Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
• Write Social Media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
• Help create and edit short-form videos
• Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
• Assist with photo/video content shoots
• Ensure brand message is consistent

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor's Candidate in digital communications or related field such as advertising or Journalism
• 1+ years’ experience in digital marketing/Social Media marketing
• Oral and written communication skills
• Excellent internet research skills
• • Mastery of the major Social Media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), Tik Tok and Google+
• Knowledge of Social Media analytics software including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Tik Tok and X (Twitter) Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance
• Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing software
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
