SalaryWe are seeking an individual who enjoys content creation and Social Media and aligns with our mission to bring STEM education to kids. We are looking for someone creative, organized, and excited about connecting and growing the SJIC community.
SJIC delivers a variety of innovative STEM classes geared toward elementary and middle school students, with offerings such as chess, math, engineering, game development, 3D modeling, and more. This job requires mostly remote work (photos will often be sent to you to organize and post) with regular visits to the center to report on events and take photos.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and publish engaging content for the SJIC Facebook page and interact with the community through comments and messages
- Write, design, and execute email campaigns through our mailing list
- Provide insight and initiative on potentially expanding to additional Social Media platforms to further our reach
- Increase traffic to our website, Social Media pages, and ultimately the Center itself through your combined efforts on all platforms.
Skills
- Social media experience - love of Social Media (use it yourself!) and confidence to navigate online platforms and post about SJIC!
- Excellent writing skills - ability to craft posts, descriptions, captions, and more that tell a story and engage our audience
- Design experience - ability to create infographics, edit photos, and send a message through content. Experience with photoshop is desirable but not required.
- Photography - an eye for capturing (when required) and selecting photos that best represent SJIC
- Flexibility - availability to attend SJIC events 1-2 times per month (or more!) to take photos and experience the center.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
