Position Summary:
The Process Solutions Engineer is an internal resource who supports the UTMC team members on their digital transformation journey. This role demands a high level of complex problem-solving and exceptional customer service skills. The Process Solutions Engineer must be willing to work outside of their comfort zone and be driven to learn new skills. This role will work closely with various team members from across the organization to consult, design, build, and implement digital solutions with the overall goal of workflow process improvement. This role will manage the implementation of Formstack and Microsoft-driven solutions throughout the organization and the integration of digital workflow processes. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from all specialties and disciplines. The Process Solutions Engineer must be flexible and open to changing priorities, working hours, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed time frames. They will also assist with major project initiatives and ongoing team member education as needed.
This is a hybrid work environment; this role will allow flexibility toward working remotely versus on-site. On-site requirements can be negotiated with the supervising manager. Work hours will be standard day shift Mon - Fri with the occasional after-hours or weekends as needed.
Core Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert on the Formstack platform; thorough understanding of features and functionality.
Identify opportunities for improvement in workflow automation and digital transformation.
Consult, design, build, and implement digital workflow solutions.
Triage and manage project requests.
Manage ongoing end-user education and support to clinical staff.
Assist with major projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
Lead and work in dynamic teams on various projects.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing solutions.
Manage stakeholder expectations for all levels of hospital leadership, including senior executives and COE directors.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Computer Sciences, or a related field
Familiarity with the Formstack Platform and PHP scripting language
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, BI, Power Automate, Dataverse)
Basic Cerner knowledge and end-user experience
Strong background in healthcare administration
Highly computer-literate and tech-savvy
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Bonus Points:
Master's Degree in Health Sciences, Computer Sciences, Information Management, or related field
Lean / Six-Sigma experience / training
