Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

SUMMARY
Assists Supervisor in the instruction to employees in preparing orders for shipment; supports the receiving of material(s) used in the manufacturing process(es) and/or aids in the shipment/storage of finished goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists Supervisor in the instruction of employees in preparing orders for shipment. Receives and store material to be shipped.
- Maintains inventory records and verifies material identification against shipping orders.
- Performs all necessary packaging duties as required, by utilizing equipment within the department. Ensures all packaging is completed per specifications.
- Ships packages by prescribed carrier through instructions from Traffic, and coordinates with carrier for pick-up arrangements, if necessary.
- Assists in the loading of material on outgoing carrier. Prepares shipping memos and distribute copies to appropriate parties.
- Receives and accepts all material shipped to the plant, including returned goods, and verifies through judgment and by physical count the correctness of shipments against specifications in the purchase orders or freight bills. Notifies the Supervisor of material control if discrepancies are noted. Prepares receiving reports and distributes copies to appropriate parties.
- Plans and performs work through own judgments, under Supervisor's direction, regarding storage of materials. May assign work and direct the material handlers and shippers in the department as required. Ensures distribution of materials to Receiving Material Inspection or to whomever necessary, by use of forklift truck or other material handling equipment. Loads and unloads materials by hand as necessary.
- Enters material transactions inventory control of parts and finished goods. Identifies and documents discrepant material.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties related to the job as requested by Supervision. Keeps facilities, materials and work area clean and orderly, exercising care in their maintenance as required. Conforms with safety and inspection requirements.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS, and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Education: High school / GED; Technical degree or similar preferred.
- Equipment:
- Computer terminal, platform scale, hand truck, forklift truck, strapping tools, tape dispenser, stencil equipment, postage meter, postal scales, paper cutter, band saw, stapler, power nailer, wire stitching machine, skin packaging machine, small hand tools, measuring devices, and/or other similar items.
- Safety equipment as designated by supervision.
- Experience & Abilities:
- Requires one (1) year of applied experience in a manufacturing Shipping/Receiving environment, operating material handling equipment and computerized inventory control programs.
- Ability to assist and direct others in their duties.
- US Person:
