In This Role
- Support the Traffic Lead with day-to-day traffic duties including service-level agreements, transit times, carrier score cards, freight invoices, negotiating freight rates, etc.
- Assist the Traffic Lead with daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Create shipping documentation including bills of lading, shipping labels, and export paperwork (NAFTA Certificates)
- Coordinate routing of outgoing shipments through various customers and their logistics teams
- Schedule transportation of shipments by working closely with the Traffic Lead to insure on-time shipments
- Route and maintain truck schedules
- Maintain shipment files and internal customer inquiries regarding the status of shipments
- Report goals, operational procedures, objectives, and position responsibilities to shipping and traffic associates
- Work closely with Sales and Operations Departments to insure transactional accuracy
- Supervise accurate order, shipment, and export details to Customer Service

The Ideal Person
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Passionate advocate for continuous improvement and customer service
- Self-directed individual who is able to work and stay organized with multiple responsibilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Solid financial and analytical skills including sound business judgement
- Familiarity with LEAN practices a plus
- Third-party logistics experience a plus
- Furniture experience a plus
- Maintain and understand the importance of a safe working environment for all employees
