The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for the direct packaging and shipping of all sample sales orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Comply with all Safety Policies and Procedures
- Will wear assigned PPE in order to safely perform all job tasks
- Will maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times
- Will report any and all injuries to respective supervisor(s)
- Will perform general housekeeping duties to help maintain a clean and safe work area
- Will be responsible for the packaging of sample orders
- Will be responsible for documenting daily production reports
- Will communicate with Yard Manager to maintain quality standards
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed
- Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Attention to detail and accuracy- Must be able to read and write in English and/or Spanish
- Ability to receive and carry out instructions given by management
- Ability to model desired behavior and conduct for all employees
- Must be safe minded and alert during times of operation
- Demonstrated traits of honesty and integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
- Must be able to perform simple mathematic functions
- Ability to track process information as needed
- Must know color application process
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- No prior experience or training required
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
- Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
- Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
- Prolong standing or in stationary position
- Complete repetitive movements
- Bend and/or twist
- Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
- Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
