Shipping And Receiving Warehouse Manager

Manufacturing Warehouse is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Manager to join our exciting growth! This position manages daily Shipping and Receiving operations, ensuring complete orders are received in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Has responsibility for the Shipping and Receiving crew, inclusive of work assignment, training, and evaluation.
• Inspects incoming shipments and compares packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy; identifies and records discrepancies, damages, and defects.
• Monitors status of current purchase orders through contact with buyers and vendors, and maintains and updates currency of shipping schedules for purchased goods.
• Maintains files and records of deliveries.
• Tracks and manages incoming shipments for timely delivery.
• Has responsibility for the facilities' material storage areas as well as the grounds.
• Manages incoming and outgoing parcels and orders through FedEx, UPS DHL, and airfreight.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Working knowledge of computerized receiving processes, product class codes, and returns procedures.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
• Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Organizing and coordinating skills.
• Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures.
• Ability to prepare routine administrative reports and paperwork.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to manipulate heavy objects.
• Ability to project and handle Shipping and Receiving workflow within a high-volume environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of shipping/receiving experience
• Minimum 4 years as a supervisor/manager over Shipping and Receiving
• Must be familiar with standard ERP shipping workflow and software
• Must have experience with UPS WorldShip
• Preferred TPS/lean experience
• Should have experience building a team and designing workflows
