POSITION SUMMARY:
Verifies and maintains records for both incoming and outgoing shipments while also prepping items for shipment. Responsible for inventory movements and transactions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
2. Process shipments in a timely manner to meet on time delivery to customers.
3. Scheduling of outgoing Freight Customer pallets and incoming /outgoing carrier pick-ups.
4. Packaging of outgoing goods in a safe and secure manner.
5. Picking of products and raw materials for open work orders for processed transactions.
6. Records weights and shipping charges and communicates information to Sales Department.
7. Follow written procedures, unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reports damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with Purchasing to rectify any discrepancies.
8. Routes non-inventory items to departments. Labels and places inventory materials into the appropriate locations.
9. Performs data entry and maintain accurate records for Shipping and Receiving documents and warehouse transactions.
10. Prepares Shippers Export Declaration (SED) from Automated Export Services (AES) with Commercial Invoices (C.I.) and Shipper Letter of Instruction (S.L.I.) for all International shipping.
11. Works closely with Customer Service and Purchasing.
12. Performs inventory cycle counts
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 3 to 4 years Shipping and Receiving experience, preferably in a high paced manufacturing or biomedical environment.
- Requires excellent communications skills, including the abilities to read, write, speak and understand English language.
- Ability to lift and push 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work with normal supervision with strong attention to details.
- Computer knowledge mandatory. Microsoft Word and Excel is a must.
- FedEx and UPS Computer shipping programs, International shipping a plus.
- Requires basic math skills, computing ratios, percentage and rates.
- Familiarity with GMP and FDA requirements a plus.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
