JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the arrival and processing of materials, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with various departments to streamline the workflow. QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in material receiving or a similar role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, preferably Sage.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Receive and inspect materials as they arrive via shipments or trucks.
- Ensure accurate quantity and quality of received materials.
- Organize materials for each department in the designated areas.
- Notify department leads promptly upon material arrival.
- Fill out Purchase Orders (PO) with received quantities and attach them to packing slips.
- Contact vendors if packing slips are missing and ensure timely resolution.
- Utilize the Sage receipt of goods module to accurately record received materials.
- Print receipts and attach them to POs and packing slips for proper documentation.
- Deliver completed POs to the Accounting department for invoicing.
- Maintain and update the Drivers Log/Will Call Log to record incoming shipments and will-call orders.
- Collaborate with shipping personnel and drivers to ensure accurate order details.
- ·Utilize scanning equipment to capture Proof of Delivery (POD) and Bill of Lading (BOL) documents.
- Perform daily scanning activities and archive documents into the document management system, such as Laserfiche.
- Bring shipped orders, along with necessary documentation, to the billing department for processing.
- Further Qualifications- The successful candidate must also pass a background check.
